Jeremy Tan Jing Yuan

Jeremy Tan, born in Penang, received his first music lessons at an early age before he began playing the clarinet at age ten. His principal teachers include Isabelle Chan and Philip Arkinstall. Besides that, he studied chamber music with Yasufumi Shimano and Saori Ninomiya.

As an orchestral musician, Jeremy was principal clarinettist of the Penang State Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (PESSOC) and the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO). He has also performed in concert tours in Japan with Ensemble Koschka from 2010 to 2013. On Dec 2013, Jeremy was featured as a soloist in Max Bruch’s Double Concerto with the MPYO.
